Brown University – Rhode Island Hall

Michael Wasser was Principal in Charge for the redesign of the landscape surrounding Rhode Island Hall, part of a larger renovation project.  The goal of the landscape design was to provide universal access to the building while respecting the historic fabric of the campus landscape. This required the development of several options to completely study the new walk configuration as they relate to the existing walks within the main quadrangle.  The final scheme has simplified walkways which provide direct routes and universal access to the main entrance.  New plantings will reinforce the campus master plan and help refine the design precedent for the University’s main quadrangle.
